Learn about serving VREA:

Volunteer Opportunities

Every successful member-based organization credits for its success on the same resource - DEDICATED, HARD-WORKING VOLUNTEERS!  We are no different.  Beyond the official responsibilities of our officers and Board members lie the many tasks that must be addressed for VREA to function.  From day-to-day efforts to "once a year" events.

Normal attrition has put OUR association in need of help. These are our current needs:

Website

At present, we have a single volunteer designing and editing this web site.  WE NEED at least one additional member who is interested in assisting.

Social Media

Do you have an interest in social media? Consider being manager or assisting in the creation of our group's social media presence.

Newsletter

Currently all of the work in composing and bringing the quarterly newsletter into your hands rests on one person.  While not a daily task, the work can be burdensome when it isn't shared and a publication deadline nears.  Co-volunteers can make the composition and editing of the newsletter a less burdensome and a more enjoyable process. (Experience: did you create a classroom newsletter for your students and parents?)

Task Assistant / Understudy

Members of the Board assume or are assigned the task of reporting to the Board and memberships on a number of topics: Community High School of Vermont, member volunteer activities, Health & Wellness, Informative/Protective Services, Vermont Legislative (Government) activity, VREA Historian.  All of these tasks are addressed by committees of ONE. Consider the impact of your efforts in assiting in a single area.

What else?

As a VREA member, what else can you do to contribute to OUR organization?
